Monday night sessions

Monday night sessions for boys and girls u6, u8 and u10 will  begin on 4th April 2016 at 6:30pm.

Please ensure your child wears boots, mouth guard and appropriate clothing for changeable weather conditions e.g. base layer, jersey, gloves, quarter zip and light rain jacket, all labelled for easy identification.

The Tyrone county board has changed u8 and u10 boys football to align with the school year for u8 and u10s (previously this was the calendar year).  This means u6 will be P1/P2, u8 will be P3/P4 and u10 will be P5/P6.

Conor McAleer will be the lead coach in the 4G pitch for u6 boys.  Aidan Shields will be the lead coach for u8 boys on the training field.  Martin O’Neill will be the lead coach for u10 boys on the main pitch.  Denise Donnelly will be the lead coach for the u6, u8 and u10 girls, also on the training pitch.

Looking forward to seeing you and if you have capacity to assist team coaches, even if you can’t commit to every week, please let Conor, Aidan, Martin and Denise know.  More coaches helping our young players really aids their skill development.

There will also be several tournament competition events, e.g. Bellaghy and Moy Tournaments as well as our own Francie Donnelly Tournament, for u8 and u10 teams that we also plan to attend.  Donaghmore GAA will be hosting Go Games events, most likely on 23rd and 30th April, and we would appreciate help from parents on the setup and refreshments for visiting teams.  Final details of each Go Games event are usually only available a few days in advance.  This will be communicated on social media and via text message.  We would appreciate the yes, no or maybe responses to help coaches plan and gauge numbers.  Car pool lifts from parents will also be needed..  We appreciate parents who can pitch in on this.
